LEWIS COUNTY- A $9 million capital project was approved on Tuesday by district taxpayers for Harrisville School District.
85 voters said yes, while 24 said no, according to district officials.
Paving, bus garage improvements and other exterior upgrades are all included within the project.
There will also be investments into safety and classrooms, including the auditorium, renovations to the middle school bathroom, new classroom walls in the middle and elementary schools, new sinks and water fountains, new alarms and PA systems and finally upgrades to the locker room bathrooms, including the showers.
Superintendent of Schools Rob Finster says how grateful the school is for the continued support from community taxpayers.
“Maintaining updated facilities helps ensure our students have an enriching educational experience. We also recognize that the school is a central hub for the community, and we are thankful that district residents take pride in the school’s shared spaces,” Finster said.
