LOWVILLE- A reported road rage incident this week in the village has resulted in charges filed against a suspect.
The Village Police Department says a woman called 9-1-1 on Monday and claimed she was intentionally hit by a black colored GMC truck.
The woman had two children in her vehicle when the incident occurred, police said.
Investigation resulted in Ryan Clement, 41, (no address provided) being charged with unsafe passing, reckless driving and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to police, the incident occurred on Clinton Street. Authorities said that Clement allegedly followed the female victim to Clinton Street and struck the driver’s side of her vehicle while trying to pass her.
On the other hand, Clement told police that he was upset with the woman because she had apparently backed out in front of him on South State Street only minutes earlier.
Clement received two appearance tickets and two traffic tickets and will appear in Lowville Town Court at a later date.
