LOWVILLE- Zoey Staring is the new Lewis County Dairy Princess.
She was crowned during the 61st annual pageant back on June 8.
We have since been in the works of arranging a time for Dairy Princess Staring to join North Country News for an on-air interview, but for now, members of the Lewis County Dairy Promotion Committee say that she currently attends South Lewis Central School.
In terms of her future education goals, Staring hopes to someday become a vet technician, while also having plans to have her own hobby farm, too.
Since achieving a spot on the court, Staring says it has been her ultimate goal to become dairy princess. She hopes that she can inspire the younger generations about the importance of dairy.
For the time being, Staring is very involved with various activities, including varsity swim, indoor and outdoor track, 4-H, FFA, Lewis County Holstein Club and Lewis County Junior Fair Board.
Stay tuned, we plan on airing a June is National Dairy Month segment with Princess Staring, soon, on North Country News.
