Inmate from Rome area charged with felony criminal mischief for allegedly damaging cell door window

WHITESTOWN- An inmate from the Rome, NY area is accused of damaging property at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.

Authorities responded to an incident last Wednesday night, where Deputies were advised that an inmate had damaged a cell door window.

Investigation resulted in a felony charge of criminal mischief in the third-degree filed against Dillon M. Kotary, 30.

Officials claim the estimated cost to repair the window was over $250.

Police said that Kotary was processed and remains in custody.
