LOWVILLE- On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Director of Quality and Registered Nurse at Lewis County Health System, Lyndsey Allen, joined North Country News to discuss the latest trends in strokes and heart-attacks.

Based on local data the hospital has been gathering and analyzing, Allen says strokes and heart-attacks have gone up in recent months. Even more so, Allen says a significant portion of patients being diagnosed have come to the hospital and were not aware of the fact that they were having a stroke and/or a heart-attack.
