LOWVILLE- Lewis County's Economic Development Office is still accepting expressions of interest for the former Glenfield Elementary School.

It closed down last-year after the South Lewis Central School District sized down into a single K-12 campus, including their brand-new elementary building addition.

Port Leyden Elementary also closed down.

Currently, Lewis County owns the site and is using it for temporary office space until May 2023. With over 40,000 square feet of maintained and usable area the opportunities are endless.

Centrally located in the Black River Valley between the Tug Hill and the Adirondack Park, the location offers easy access from NYS Route 12, nearby access to the Black River and direct access to ATV and snowmobile trail systems.

Serviced with natural gas, high speed internet, electric (with 100kw emergency generator), and nearby public transportation - this property is ideal for conversion to apartments, senior living, hotel, office, retail, a community center, mixed use or any other endless possibilities.

Expressions of interest for any potential buyers are asked to download and submit their application no later than January 31, 2023.

Any questions can be addressed by reaching out to 315-376-3014.
