
WEST TURIN- A North Country man is accused of DWI after emergency responders responded to the scene of a single vehicle wreck in Lewis County Sunday night, authorities say.
Timothy G. Hickey, 26, of Fort Drum, NY is officially charged with aggravated DWI (BAC .18 or greater); common law DWI and possessing an open container, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The wreck reportedly occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. on State Route 26 in the town of West Turin.
Deputies allege that Hickey failed field sobriety tests on scene. During processing at the Public Safety Building, Hickey reportedly registered a .24% BAC.
He was released with appearance tickets, which are all answerable to the West Turin Town Court at a later date.
