LOWVILLE- It's going "smoothly," according to what Lewis County Health System CEO Gerry Cayer told us regarding the hospital's expansion and revitalization project.
It's been nearly one-full-year since the project kicked-off with a ground-breaking ceremony on the hospital campus.
Since then, there has been tremendous progress, but the project itself still remains very complex. "We have a new structure, which is the surgical pavilion and that new structure is going to be connected to an older structure," Cayer told us.
"Just that action alone makes great complexity in the project."
In addition, to the new surgical pavilion, several areas in the original hospital will be revitalized, including all new, private patient rooms.
