WESTERN- Non-life threatening injuries were reported for numerous victims involved in a two-car accident over the weekend in Oneida County.
It happened near Woods Valley shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday on State Route 46, town of Western, the Sheriff’s Office said.
According to investigators, Nicholas Sutton, 30, (no hometown address provided) was driving a 2015 Audi and was trying to enter Route 46 from Woods Valley parking lot.
Police say he proceeded unsafely and pulled out in-front of a 2019 Mitsubishi, reportedly driven by Suzanne Shilling, 33, (no hometown address provided).
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash. Members from AmCare Ambulance took Sutton and numerous other occupants to Rome Hospital for additional evaluation.
Shilling and the occupants of her vehicle were taken to the same hospital. All injuries appeared to be non-life threatening, deputies said.
Traffic citations were subsequently issued to Sutton and are returnable to Western Town Court.
Western Fire Department, New York State Police. New York State Park Police and Woods Valley Staff all provided assistance.
