Constableville Winter Carnival 2023

CONSTABLEVILLE- 2023 marks the first ever Winter Carnival for the folks in C-ville.

On Saturday, February 25, the village will shut down traffic at the three-way intersection to accommodate all the foot traffic anticipated for the winter carnival.

There will be youth ice hockey, ice skating, concessions and so much more - all taking place between the rink and the fire-hall.

"So it's going to kind-of be like a block party atmosphere," said Keith Bates. He is the president and co-founder of Tug Hill Yeti, a youth ice skating and hockey club.

The Yetis are a centerpiece around this year's debut winter carnival, as they will host the Mighty Loons of Inlet.

With aims of drawing interest for youth hockey competition, the first game is set for 8:45 a.m. Another game is set for 9:45 a.m. The figure skating club exhibition is aimed for 11:15 a.m.

Several other activities will take place, including snowshoe races; kids indoor activities and sledding.

There will be concessions over in the fire-hall, such as homemade chili, s’mores, a hot cocoa bar, grilled hot dogs, popcorn and more.
