LOWVILLE- Those who have been participating in the latest classes for diabetes prevention have been yielding very satisfactory results, one public health specialist says.
Earlier this spring, Lewis County Public Health began campaigning in search of people that would be interested in taking their diabetes prevention program.
Mary Lynn Fager has told us in previous reports that a significant portion of our U.S. population is already diabetic or pre-diabetic and a significant portion of those people don't even realize it yet.
That's why it's important for people to take the diabetes risk test and take proactive measures before it's too late, Fager says.
