LOWVILLE- The next meeting for Lewis County Suicide Bereavement Support Group is coming up on Tuesday, January 24.
The group meets every fourth Tuesday of the month in Lowville, NY and is aimed for those who are grieving a loved one lost from suicide.
The goal for North Country Suicide Prevention Coalition is to be here for community members who may be struggling with suicidal intentions, but a bereavement group was sparked last spring with the same in mind, but for those who have lost loved ones from suicide.
"Lewis County Suicide Prevention Coalition is all about reducing the rate of suicide in our county and the surrounding areas," said group spokesperson Sierra Kempney.
"We didn't have any form of postvention and one form of that is having a support group for those who have lost someone to suicide. SO that's why this group was created to support those who have lost someone."
