Boonville Snow Fest

BOONVILLE- Without any additional support via new board members and volunteers, the Boonville Snow Festival II faces yet another ugly likelihood of cancelling their snowmobile sled racing weekend this coming winter.

Earlier this week, the committee announced the next snow festival weekend, featuring lightning fast ice oval racing, is aimed for the weekend of February 3-5, 2023. In that same announcement, the committee said they are in need of more volunteers for planning before the event, during and then clean-up after.

Committee spokesperson Susan Alger joined our North Country news Friday and explained more about the importance of having more volunteers and the possible fate of cancelling if no one new steps up to pitch-in.

For anyone interested in possibly joining the board or becoming a volunteer worker, there will be a public meeting Wednesday, October 12 at the village offices. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Be sure to listen to our latest on-air segment for more of her remarks:
