Interview: Woodgate Fire Chief Anthony Sege talks Recruit NY Weekend and volunteer firefighter open house

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Woodgate Volunteer Fire Chief Anthony Sege joined North Country News and discussed New York's traditional RecruitNY weekend for this spring.

"It's been quite an asset to us," Chief Sege told us. The goal of RecruitNY is to promote and encourage potential volunteers to join their local fire department.

For RecruitNY weekend, several fire departments statewide, including here locally, will be hosting special open houses and demonstrations for the public. Chief Sege emphasized with us that even just one new volunteer can make the biggest difference.
