Local resident charged with operating while impaired by drugs in Lowville

LOWVILLE- A local resident is accused of operating as vehicle while impaired by drugs in Lewis County, authorities say.

Mary E. Burr, 42, of Lowville, NY was arrested Wednesday night by the New York State Police (Lowville). Burr is officially charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs (first offense).

According to Troopers, the arrest took place shortly after 10:00 p.m. in the village of Lowville, NY.

At press time, police said that Burr was released to a third party.

There were no further details provided.
