LOWVILLE- You may have heard and it is official… New York State Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush is going to retire.

He will officially make the announcement during a press conference Thursday morning in Lowville, NY, where the Assemblyman is also expected to endorse a candidate, who will be revealed at the gathering.

According to his press office, Ken’s retirement will begin at the conclusion of 2026.

Blankenbush represents New York’s 117th District, which spans from Lowville and up north to as far as Massena and then south into Oneida County.

He was elected to the Assembly in 2011.

Prior to his career in Albany, NY, Assemblyman Blankenbush served on various boards and positions throughout Jefferson County, including the Board of Legislators.
