NEW: Investigators determine point of origin for Rome apartment blaze that claimed two victims

ROME- An origin point has been determined by investigators, who have been working to solve an apartment complex blaze earlier this month in the city, which claimed the lives of two people.

As previously covered, this fire occurred during the early hours of December 9 at Countryside Apartments.

According to the latest from emergency officials, the fire sparked in Gary Weidmann’s apartment. He was 61-years-old and was one of two people who perished in the fire.

The other person who died was Christine Teuscher, 76.

Everyone else was accounted for. The Red Cross has been assisting those who were displaced.
