WATERTOWN- It’s confirmed! The traditional North Country Chili Cook Off will return to the Dulles State Office Building this winter.
Now entering its 24th year, the cook off serves as a major fundraising event for the Volunteer Transportation Center, a staple North Country organization that provides rides for people to reach medical appointments and etc.
“We are very excited about this news,” said Jeremiah S. Papineau, Director of Communications and Foundation Director for the VTC. “We had great success over the past two years as we had to adapt to a different format but we are looking forward to what we’ve got planned to bring together the best of both worlds.”
Be sure to listen to our latest on-air interview with Jeremiah Papineau for more details:
With this development now blossoming, officials clarify that the chili crawl style format will also return.
Adopted in 2021, the chili crawl served as a temporary alternate amidst COVID pandemic regulations and gained enough popularity to become firmly established.
The chili crawl is aimed to kick-off February 1 and continue through the 22. The in-person event at Dulles State Office Building will occur Saturday, February 26.
For more details on how to participate, be sure to contact the VTC at 315-788-0422.
