FOR LEWIS COUNTY...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
  of 8 to 16 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds
  gusting as high as 35 mph will create some blowing and drifting
  snow.

* WHERE...Lewis county.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas
  of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

FOR ONEIDA COUNTY....
...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
  of 12 to 18 inches with as much as 22 inches around and west of
  Camden.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida county.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Sunday to 4 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy lake effect snow will begin this
  morning and continue through tonight. The heaviest snowfall
  rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour are expected during the daytime
  hours. Rates will decrease this evening as the snow lifts
  northward. Snow will quickly accumulate on roadways, making
  traveling difficult to impossible. Strong wind gusts will result
  in blowing snow and whiteout conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

For N. Herkimer County......LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
  of 3 to 11 inches, with the greatest amounts located between the
  New York State Thruway and Route 8. Winds gusting as high as 45
  mph.

* WHERE...Herkimer County.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
  snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could
  bring down tree branches in southern Herkimer County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates may reach 1 to 2 inches per
  hour within the most intense portion of the snowband. The
  snowband should develop across north central Herkimer County
  early this morning, then shift southward into south central
  Herkimer County by mid to late morning, and into southern
  Herkimer County during this afternoon.

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of
  4 to 8 inches in the most persistent lake snows. West winds
  gusting as high as 40 mph will create blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Jefferson county.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
  snow could significantly reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be
prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
