Larceny complaint in Herkimer County results in felony charge against local resident

NEWPORT- A larceny case in Herkimer County last week has resulted in a felony charge against a local resident.

Last Thursday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) announced the arrest of Philip G. Bormann, 23, of Cold Brook, NY for one felony count of grand larceny in the fourth-degree (property value > $1,000).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a town of Newport larceny complaint, which was filed last Thursday morning.

At press time, authorities said that Bormann was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
