
WEST CARTHAGE- A North Country resident is faced with an accusation in the wake of a larceny complaint in Jefferson County, authorities say.
Phillip M. Thomas, 37, of Carthage, NY was arrested Monday afternoon by the New York State Police (Carthage). Thomas is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminally possessing stolen property in the fifth-degree.
According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a larceny complaint in the village of West Carthage, NY, which was filed Monday morning.
At press time, police said that Thomas was issued with an appearance ticket and there were no further details provided.
