LOWVILLE- A North Country resident registered a BAC level twice over the legal limit in the wake of a hit-and-run crash last Thursday in Lewis County, according to authorities.

It was shortly after 6:00 p.m. when 9-1-1 dispatch received reports of a hit-and-run crash in the village of Lowville.

A short time later, Sheriff’s Deputies managed to obtain a vehicle description and locate the driver on East Road, town of Lowville.
