LCSO: Local resident allegedly failed to update address with New York Sex Offender Registry

LOWVILLE- A Lewis County resident, who is a level 3 registered sex offender, is accused of violating terms for New York's Sex Offender Registry.

Albert O. Therrien, 63, of Denmark, NY was arrested by the Sheriff's Office on Wednesday on one felony count of violating the sex offender registry.

According to investigators, Therrien is required to report his address every 90-days, but police say he allegedly failed to do so.

At press time, the Sheriff's Office said that Therrien was issued with an appearance ticket and is due to appear in Lowville Town Court at a later date.
