LCSO: Suspect charged in town of Watson domestic incident allegedly possessed a knife, violated court protection order

WATSON- A local resident is faced with both felony and misdemeanor charges in the wake of a domestic dispute this week in Lewis County.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a domestic dispute in progress sometime shortly before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday on the Pine Grove Road, town of Watson.

Investigation revealed that Steven M. Bussiere, 58, of Watson, NY allegedly violated a Lewis County Family Court issued refrain from order of protection.

In addition, police also report that Bussiere possessed a knife during the incident.

Bussiere was formally arrested and charged with one felony count each of criminal contempt in the first-degree and criminally possessing a weapon in the third-degree. Bussiere was also charged with one misdemeanor count of menacing in the second-degree.

Bussiere was processed at the Public Safety Building and arraigned before being remanded to the county jail on $5,000 bail and/or $10,000 bond.
