ROME- A local resident is accused of criminally possessing a controlled substance in Oneida County.

Michael Martino, 55, of Lee Center, NY was arrested early Monday by the New York State Police (Sylvan Beach). Martino is formally charged with three separate misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

In addition, police also arrested and charged Wayne J. Harvey, 32, of Rome, NY with one count of the same.

According to Troopers, the arrests were made shortly before 1:00 a.m. in the city of Rome, NY.

At press time police said that both suspects were issued with an appearance ticket.
