LOWVILLE- An issue with the phone system caused a temporary outage for Lewis County 9-1-1 Tuesday night.
When we spoke to officials from the Sheriff’s Office early Wednesday, they confirmed that the outage has been fixed and dispatchers are now able to handle 9-1-1 calls.
The trouble began sometime around 10:00 p.m.
All emergency calls were temporarily forwarded to Herkimer County Dispatch while phone crews worked on fixing the problem.
The system was repaired shortly before midnight.
