DENMARK- A Lewis County area resident is charged for allegedly violating New York’s Sex Offender Registry by having an unregistered cell-phone.

Last Monday, the Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Dennis Pridell, 58, of Lowville, NY with one felony count of failing to report internet information to the registry.

Back on August 28, investigators received a complaint that Pridell, who is a registered level-two sex offender, possibly had unregistered accounts.

Further investigation revealed that Pridell reportedly possessed a cell-phone with an unregistered service provider.

At press time, police issued Pridell with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Denmark Town Court at a later date.
