LOWVILLE- There's good and bad news to share in the latest update from Lewis County DMV pertaining to their service disruptions this week.
According to the County Clerk, Jake Moser, some new hardware has been installed at the office and workstations are able to now process registration transactions.
However, the catch is that the DMV cannot process any license or permit transaction because the camera is having trouble connecting to the new IP address.
State authorities are aware of the situation and working on a resolution, the County Clerk said.
In a nutshell as of early Friday: Lewis County DMV can do registration transactions, but cannot take photos or do any license or permit transactions.
Clerk Moser says more updates will be released.
