PITCAIRN- A Lewis County resident is accused of felony intoxicated driving following reports of a personal injury accident this spring in the North Country, authorities are reporting.
Allen J. LaParr, 44, of Harrisville, NY was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Gouverneur). LaParr is charged with one felony count each of DWI (conviction within 10-years), operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC w/a prior offense) and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree.
Furthermore, LaParr is charged with one misdemeanor count of operating without an interlock device.
These charges all stem from reports of a personal injury crash April 30 in the town of Pitcairn, St. Lawrence County.
At press time, police said an investigation was pending, with evidence.
LaParr was issued with an appearance ticket and the State Police provided no further details.
