Lewis County resident accused of various charges in wake of personal injury accident, Troopers say

GOUVERNEUR- A local resident is accused of various charges in the wake of a reported personal injury accident over the weekend in St. Lawrence County, authorities say.

Joshua R. Hartle, 32, of Harrisville, NY was arrested Friday evening by the New York State Police (Canton). Hartle is officially charged with one felony count of criminally possessing a weapon in the second-degree (loaded firearm); along with one misdemeanor count each of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in the first-degree and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from reports of a personal injury wreck shortly after noontime on Friday in the town of Gouverneur.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

An arrest status for Hartle was not available for this report and there were no further details provided.
