Lewis County resident charged with felony unlicensed operation in Lowville, Troopers say

LOWVILLE- A local resident is faced with a felony unlicensed operation offense in Lewis County, authorities say.

Andrew D. Gibbs, 36, of Copenhagen, NY was arrested Monday afternoon by the New York State Police (Lowville). Gibbs is formally charged with one felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree (w/10 and/or more suspensions – 10 and/or more dates).

Troopers said the charges were filed in the town of Lowville. At press time, police said that Gibbs was released on his own recognizance.

There were no further details provided.
