WATSON- A local resident in the North Country is faced with a trio of felonies for allegedly failing to update several accounts for the sex offense registry, authorities say.

Kenneth J. Juby, 28, of Glenfield, NY was arrested Tuesday by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

A registered Level 2 Sex Offender who is on probation, police say that Juby had internet access, including social media and other accounts, which were not properly registered, according to an investigation via the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say it is required by law for registered sex offenders to report and update any required changes to the registry.

Juby was formally charged with three felony counts of sex offender registry violations.

Following an arraignment in Lewis County Court, Juby was jailed on a probation violation, with no bail.

With that being said, authorities set a separate bail of $2,500 for the registry violations.

This case stems from an anonymous cyber tip that was sent to the FBI and forwarded to Lewis County Probation.
