NEW BREMEN- A local woman is faced with felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly assaulting her ex-husband with a handgun, which was possessed illegally.

Angel S. Tack, 33, of Lowville, NY was arrested and charged last Friday by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office for one felony count of assault in the second-degree and one misdemeanor count of criminally possessing a weapon in the fourth-degree.

Following a joint investigation with the Department of Social Services, Deputies have determined that that Tack was involved in a domestic incident, with her ex-husband, back in October.

The incident occurred in the town of New Bremen, where police say Tack used the butt-end of a handgun to strike her ex-husband in the back of the head.

Investigators say the handgun was possessed illegally.

Following processing at the Public Safety Building, Tack was arraigned and then released on her own recognizance.
