SHERIFF'S INVESTIGATORS: Lewis County man arrested, charged for having alleged sexual contact with a 17-year-old Female

NEW BREMEN- A juvenile sex investigation has resulted in the arrest of a local resident.

Steven A. Ashley II, 45, of Lowville, NY was arrested and charged last Friday by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office for one misdemeanor count each of sexual abuse in the third-degree and one count of unlawful imprisonment in the second-degree.

According to Sheriff’s Investigators, Mr. Ashley II allegedly had sexual contact with a 17-year-old Female.

It reportedly happened last December in the town of New Bremen.

At press time, police said that Ashley II was processed at the Public Safety Building and released on appearance tickets, which are returnable to New Bremen Town Court at a later date.
