Lewis County woman charged with criminal contempt and harassment in Pinckney

PINCKNEY- A local resident is faced with charges stemming from police investigation into a protection order violation in Lewis County.

Carissa A. Woodruff, 44, of Copenhagen, NY was arrested on November 12 by the Sheriff’s Office. Woodruff is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree, along with a violation of harassment in the second-degree.

Deputies allege that Woodruff violated an order of protection. Details regarding the incident any further were not specified by police.

The incident reportedly occurred in the town of Pinckney. At press time, police said that Woodruff was issued with appearance tickets.
