Local emergency crews respond to reports of fire that was "electrical" in nature at the former Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Boonville

BOONVILLE- Emergency agencies were called to the scene of a former place of worship Friday morning in Northern Oneida County.

It was sometime after 8:00 a.m. when Boonville Fire Department was called out to the former Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, located at 3 Valley View Drive in Boonville, NY.

According to Fire Chief Dave Pritchard Jr., there was a fire that ignited in the upper level of the structure and was electrical in nature.

There were no injuries reported. Damage was minimal and kept to a relatively small area of the structure.

Constableville Fire Department provided mutual aid on scene.

Members from Constableville Ambulance, the New York State Police, Sheriff's Office, Boonville Municipal Commission, as well as several bystanders all assisted.
