
WATSON- A local man from Lewis County is faced with a felony accusation stemming from an ATV larceny investigation this past spring.
Kyle T. Simpson, 27, of Lowville, NY is officially charged by the Sheriff’s Office with felony criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth-degree.
Deputies say the arrest traces back to complaints of an ATV larceny in Lowville on May 28, 2022. On Wednesday, local authorities managed to spot Simpson at the Lewis County Fair, where he was apprehended after a brief foot chase.
Simpson was taken to the Public Safety Building for processing. His arraignment was via Town of West Turin CAP Court.
Simpson was subsequently held at the county jail on a probation violation. Furthermore, authorities say Simpson is wanted by the New York State Police in Watertown on separate charges.
The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Lowville Police Department, the New York State Police and Lewis County Probation Department.
