
LEYDEN- A single vehicle wreck late Friday in Southern Lewis County has resulted in charges filed against a local resident.
Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched shortly after 11:30 p.m. to the East Road, town of Leyden.
While investigating, police reported that the driver, who was formally identified as Brad K. Hoffman, 50, of Port Leyden, NY, refused field sobriety tests at the scene.
Hoffman was subsequently taken in to the Public Safety Building for processing, where he was charged with misdemeanor counts of DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third-degree and operating without an interlock ignition device.
Hoffman was also charged with unspecified vehicle and traffic law violations.
Following an arraignment, authorities said that Hoffman was released on his own recognizance.
