ICYMI: State Police make arrest in Remsen rape investigation

ONEIDA COUNTY- An update has been released concerning the investigation of a local resident, who is accused of raping a victim at knifepoint.

On Friday, the New York State Police and their Criminal Investigation Bureau in Marcy, NY announced the arrest of Anthony L. Delguidice, 36, of Remsen, NY with felony rape in the first-degree.

This arrest is pursuant to an indictment warrant issued by an Oneida County Grand Jury. On January 23, 2025, investigators looked into an incident that occurred at a residence on Joslyn Road in the town of Remsen.

The investigation alleged that Delguidice forcibly raped an adult female at knife point inside his home.

Delguidice was processed and transported to the Oneida County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment, authorities said at press time late Friday.

The New York State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
