Local resident accused of criminally possessing a controlled substance in St. Lawrence County

FOWLER- A local resident is accused of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the North Country, authorities say.

Logan E. Lavancha, 26, of Harrisville,NY was arrested Monday evening by the New York State Police (Gouverneur). Lavancha is officially charged with four misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges stem from a suspicious vehicle complaint in the town of Fowler, St. Lawrence County a few hours prior to the arrest.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. There was no arrest status provided for Lavancha.
