BOONVILLE- 2023 marks a baker's dozen for Luigi's Pizzeria and their traditional Thanksgiving Day meal for the community.
For its 13th year, the renowned pizzeria will be dishing up fresh oven roasted turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes and all the trimmings on Thanksgiving Day.
As usual, this will all be free to anyone in the community.
The initiative was sparked by the Lindsey family in 2010 to provide a place for those, who may be without family for Thanksgiving, to share friendship together.
Since then, the annual dinner has evolved into a community wide effort, with numerous volunteers stepping up to go as far as hand delivering meals to those who cannot make it to the pizzeria, but are still in need.
"We want to take the time and thank everybody who has helped us through the years," said Pat Lindsey. "It's not just us doing it. This is a community effort now. We really hope that all of our previous volunteers will get a hold of us and plan on coming back this year, because we need their help again."
