Local resident charged with felony grand larceny in Lewis County: TROOPERS

DIANA- A North Country resident is faced with a felony accusation stemming from a larceny investigation last month in Lewis County, authorities say.

Becka Swanson, 29, of Harrisville, NY was arrested Tuesday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville). Swanson is formally charged with one felony count of grand larceny in the third-degree (property value exceeding $3,000).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a larceny complaint, which was filed with authorities on February 20 in the town of Diana.

At press time, police said that Swanson was released and an investigation was pending.

There were no further details provided.
