Local resident facing charges from town of Lee domestic dispute, Troopers say

LEE- A local resident from Oneida County is accused of a pair of charges stemming from reports of a domestic dispute this week, authorities say.

James R. Barton, 39, of Lee Center, NY was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday by the New York State Police (Lee). Barton is formally charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief (w/intent to damage property).

According to Troopers, these charges stem from a town of Lee domestic dispute, which was reported late Wednesday night.

At press time, Barton’s arrest status was listed as centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided to report.
