
WATERTOWN- State Police Investigators have provided a few new details regarding the two Suspects from Carthage, NY arrested on numerous charges, including burglary and drug possession.
As reported Wednesday, Donald G. Bishop, 33, and Zachary Benedict Guichard, 44, were formally charged with one felony count each of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the third-degree, criminally possessing a controlled substance in the fourth-degree and burglary in the third-degree; along with one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief (w/intent to damage property), possessing burglar tools, criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second-degree (package/scales) and criminally trespassing in the third-degree.
Investigation suggests that the two were caught inside the former Watertown Correctional Facility, which has been closed down.
It is alleged that Bishop and Guichard were attempting to steal copper plumbing. Furthermore, the two also reportedly possessed methamphetamine and amphetamine tablets.
Following arraignment in CAP Court, Guichard was remanded to the Jefferson County Jail, without bail. Meanwhile, Bishop was held on $10,000 cash/$20,000 partially secured bond, or $40,000 unsecured bond.
Also, State Police arrested Joseph D. Palladino Sr., 55, from Carthage, NY, on August 22 for Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree, (class “B” misdemeanor).
Mr. Palladino was arrested after he was found to be trespassing inside the closed Watertown Correctional Facility in the town of Watertown, Troopers said.
Palladino Sr. was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to CAP Court.
