DIANA- A local sex offender, who has been previously convicted of violating regulations from the state’s registry, is accused of doing that again.
On Wednesday, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Joseph R. Clement II, 33, of Harrisville, NY with one felony count of violating New York’s Sex Offender Registry.
Investigators say Clement has been convicted of doing this in the past. The state’s online registry suggests that Clement is a level 2 risk.
This time around, police allege that Clement was using a social media app, called ‘Meetme,’under an alias that was reportedly not registered.
Following an arraignment, Clement was remanded to the Lewis County Jail, without bail.
