Local teen charged with criminal mischief in Croghan

CROGHAN- A local juvenile is faced with a charge stemming from a disturbance in Lewis County this week, according to authorities.

On Wednesday evening, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and formally charged a 15-year-old teenage suspect from Carthage, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief (w/intent to damage property).

A name or gender for the suspect was not revealed by authorities. Troopers say the charge was filed after a disturbance complaint Wednesday afternoon in the town of Croghan.

At press time, police said the teen was issued with a family court appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
