Local woman accused of intoxicated driving in West Turin, Deputies say

WEST TURIN- A local woman is accused of intoxicated driving following a traffic stop last Tuesday in Lewis County.

It was shortly before 11:00 p.m. when the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Wynn Road in the town of West Turin for complaints of a suspicious person.

As patrols approached the area, they observed a vehicle leaving the scene. After a brief pursuit, a traffic stop was conducted on the Van Zandt Road.

The driver, identified by authorities as Diane R. Rudd, 64, of Constableville, NY allegedly failed field sobriety tests on scene.

Rudd was taken in to the Public Safety Building for processing, where she registered a .17% BAC, police said.

Rudd was released with appearance tickets, which are returnable to West Turin Town Court at a later date.
