Local woman accused of intoxicated driving, Troopers say

RUSSIA- A woman from the Kuyahoora Valley area is accused of intoxicated driving following a traffic stop Wednesday night in Herkimer County, authorities say.

Christine D. Weakley, 47, of Poland, NY was arrested and charged by the New York State Police (Herkimer) for one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1%).

According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the wake of a traffic stop shortly before 9:00 p.m. in the town of Russia.

At press time, police said Weakley was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
