Local woman dies in Oneida County one-car crash, State Police investigators say

VERONA- A local woman is dead in the wake of a one-car crash over the weekend in Oneida County, according to emergency responders.

Sabrina L. Stafford, 24, of Cold Brook, NY was killed after her 2018 Subaru Forester went off the road at a high rate of speed and struck a row of trees, authorities said.

It happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. Saturday on Beacon Light Road in town of Verona, Oneida County.

According to New York State Police Investigators, Stafford was the only occupant of the vehicle and was partially ejected when emergency responders arrived.

She was pronounced deceased on scene.

Members from the Sheriff’s Office and Verona Fire Department provided assistance.
