
LOWVILLE- A local resident is accused of shoplifting alcoholic beverages from a village grocery store.
Jason Carraway, 38, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested on Friday by the Village Police Department. Carraway is formally charged with petit larceny.
According to police, Carraway allegedly left a local grocery store without paying for alcoholic beverages, which he possessed while exiting the premises.
At press time, it was reported that Carraway was issued with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
